Aspen X Games 2019 was a celebration of winter traditions and hot, new stars. We sent Chicago-based photographer and ambassador, Peter Nigh, with our friends from Festy Besty, to capture all the excitement and share his adventures throughout the weekend.
Peter’s adventures started off with some epic big air skiing featuring Swedish Freestyle Skier, Henrick Harlaut. The 27-year-old is known for his crazy style and big moves on the slopes. He took 4th and 6th in Slopestyle and Big Air this weekend, good scores for the skiier who has six golds in his XGames career. Henrick, a known Weezy superfan, got down on stage with Lil Wayne at the Belly Up Saturday night. Lil Wayne proved to us he still is the best rapper alive. Other highlights from the weekend included US Female Snowboarder, Chloe Kim, winning her fifth Women’s SuperPipe Gold, and she’s only 18! Saturday and Sunday night gatherings around the SuperPipe were dope. Louis the Child threw down at the Belly Up and represented Chicago to the fullest with the weekend’s best afterparty performance. The XGames will continue to be at Buttermilk Mountain for the next 10 years we’re sure that will keep coming back!
The Aspen Fashion was in high-dosed statements especially with FestyBesty and tons of Grassroots California gear to go around! Lil Wayne even rocked a full-layered Gucci sweatsuit. Elaborate styles of snow gear, hats, fur coats is to be expected from the greatest gathering of winter sports and music, but the festival feel and vibes were unreal. Just take a peek at some of our favorite athletes and fans rocking killer styles in our Official Photo Album. From our newest sunglasses to beanies, hats, pins and more, we treated tons of fans and athletes to free merch! To scoop any of the styles pictured in our album, head over to our website or flagship locations in Denver and Chicago!
